BuildPilot

Solution

Quantities from the drawing, checked by a person

Either BuildPilot's team measures your drawings, or you measure them yourself on the sheet — by clicking, or by having the page read and reviewing the result. Either way the quantities are structured, versioned and traceable to the drawing.

  • Structured takeoffs by division, category, and item
  • Measure on the sheet: lengths, areas, volumes and counts at the sheet's scale, with the working kept
  • Rooms, finishes, doors and windows, structure and services worked out from the drawing
  • Every measurement keeps its history: who changed it, from what, and what priced it
  • Linked to your drawings and documents, with assumptions and exclusions stated
  • CSV (opens in Excel) and PDF exports for your own records

Why it matters

When every contractor prices the same measured quantities, bids become comparable line by line — the lowest number stops hiding missing scope.

Transparent methodology

Units, waste allowances, and measurement rules are visible on every item. You can challenge and comment before approving.

Automation that shows its working

“Read this sheet” uses AI to count doors and windows, read rooms and areas and pick out services, and shows where on the sheet each figure came from. Every result is a draft marked for review: you check it against the drawing before it counts, and we never present unchecked automation as a finished takeoff.
